Maxine Adams

Max is combination girlfriend, lover, best friend, and partner in crime.  Her job as a hunter and Stefan’s as a witch hasn’t really stopped the two from forming a strong bond that seems to only be getting stronger as time goes on.  When not going on small adventures together, they love hunkering down with a good black and white horror movie and snacks.  They can be rowdy, but are just as comfortable sitting with each other and enjoying the silence together.

April Rigby

April’s Stefan’s boss, and outside of Max she’s the closest friend he has these days.  He holds her in high regard, and values all the little lessons in witchery she gives him.  The pair are thick as thieves, joking around in silly voices and eating absurd amounts of sweets when no one is looking.

Balaath (shown out of his jar)

Stefan’s consistently entertained by Bal’s drama-queen antics, but on some level is sympathetic toward the demon’s plight of being trapped in his jar.  When people are harassing him, Stefan’s usually the one to speak up.  In turn, it seems Bal’s taken a shine to Stefan as well.

Bruce Banner

Bruce is a sweet, intelligent guy with a bit of a confidence issue that Stefan is determined to resolve.  Bruce tends to call Stefan “Witchy-pants” and seems to be curious about magical practices.  The two are unlikely friends, yet good friends nonetheless.  

Jacob Hassen

Stefan and Jacob don’t talk excessively often, but they get on well.  Jacob seems amused by Stefan’s personality, and in turn Stefan admires (and may have a slight crush on) the Grimm.  

Mallory Riva

Mal and Stefan’s relationship is a complicated one.  Friends first and foremost, the pair came into a bit of a pickle when Magic Anons cast spells on them that landed them in bed together.  They want to continue being friends, and are doing their best to put the whole one-night-stand behind them.

Coyote

Coyote and Stefan’s relationship is more of a hero worship than anything else.  Stefan holds the Trickster God in high admiration, and it seems Coyote has a sort of soft spot for the would-be mischief maker he calls “Little Witch”.

Van Helsing

Van Helsing kind of serves as a protective parent to Stefan, making sure the witch stays out of trouble and alive.  Since Stefan has a habit of tampering with things he probably shouldn’t, the hunter has his work cut out for him.  Not to mention Stefan’s “fang envy” that Van Helsing holds in perpetual side-eye.

Usher

Usher is Stefan’s familiar.  Purchased from the New York City magic market after pecking the living daylights out of his new owner, the bird lives with Stefan and keeps him company on nights when the apartment seems a little too empty.  Wherever Stefan goes, Usher is always sure to be nearby, and vice versa.  His favourite treat is the candy corn that Stefan gives him.
